Synchronized skating teams often are comprised of a myriad of body types. Thoughtful design and execution requires that the finished garments have a homogeneous on-ice picture for each individual skater.

Designing and constructing costumes for theatrical productions have quite different requirements than for athletes.  Design and construction techniques may vary, but the same aesthetic of materials layering, fabric dyeing and painting, as well as unique detailing remains a constant.
